To Our Valued Patients, Friends, Neighbors and future new patients:

We hope this letter finds you all safe and healthy. We want to update you as to the extreme, comprehensive safety protocols we have put in place in our Dental Office to ensure the health, safety and well-being of our employees and patients.

Uncompromising Safety: To protect our patients and ourselves, we strictly maintain sterilization, sanitation and cross contamination processes to accomplish a virtually virus-free and bacterial- free environment.
Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up- to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations.

We are exceeding the CDC safety guidelines by implementing the following vigilant preparations and safety precautions.

      Office Sanitation and Sterilization Protocols:

  • Daily deep Cleaning, Sanitation and Fumigation of our entire office (waiting room, operatories, bathrooms and offices using EPA-registered disinfectants) between each patient.

  • Installation of a commercial grade UV light and Germicidal Ionization system in our HVAC system for air purification that eliminates 99.9% of germs, viruses, bacteria and fungi from the air in the entire office. Please Click link: ://players.brightcove.net/109377685001/default_default/index.htmlvideoId=5799918990001

  • Installation of an Advanced Hospital Grade air purification-sanitizing system in each treatment and waiting room to capture, filter (HEPA), kill (UV Light), and oxidize viruses,   bacteria, and molds. Please click link:  https://youtu.be/k8PnRs94cZs

  • We added Extraoral Dental Suction Systems which allows the doctor and hygienist to safely remove droplets and aerosol particles created while providing treatment! Moreover, the system is able to capture, filter (HEPA) and kill (UV light) viruses, bacteria and germs after exiting the mouth of the patient.                                                                                       Please click link:  https://youtu.be/pStSV2P5xKg

      Personal Protection Equipment:

  • Employees are wearing personal protective equipment including masks, gloves, face shields and isolation gowns.

  • Installation of sneeze guards.

  • Daily careful screenings of all our staff and patients with an infrared no-contact thermometer before entering the office.

  • Patients must wear a face mask to enter our office and must keep it on except when having a treatment that requires removal.

  • Frequent hand washing and hand sanitizing is mandatory for our staff and patients.

  • We will continue to practice social distancing and ask our patients do the same.

  • Employees will undergo the same screening process as our patients before they come to work. If they have any symptoms they will not be allowed to work and sent home. They will return to work only if they have been cleared by their doctor. A certificate being COVID-19 free will be required by their doctor to return to work.

    Appointment and Scheduling Changes:

  • Our office will communicate with you 24 hours before your appointment and ask you screening questions relating to possible COVID-19 exposure and symptoms.

  • If you have any of these symptoms, please do not come to the office. Call and see your physician. Once you have been cleared by your doctor then you can reschedule your dental appointment. A certificate being COVID-19 free will be required by your doctor before your next appointment. We can only see you on an emergency situation.

  • Office Entry Restricted: Only the patient with an appointment will be allowed in the office and in the treatment room with the doctor or hygienist. Others will have to stay in the car.

  • We are limiting the number of patients to allow adequate time between patients to perform the above-mentioned cleaning and sanitation procedures.

  • We are staggering appointments to limit patient to patient contact in the reception area.

  • We are requesting that each patient arrive at their scheduled appointment time. Upon arrival you will need to stay in your car and notify the receptionist. When the Dr. or Hygienist is ready the receptionist will call you in.

  • The patient (if a minor) will be escorted to the office door by the parent/guardian. Parent/guardian will stay in their car.

  • Patients must properly wear a face mask and gloves to enter our office and must keep it on the entire time they are in the office.

  • Mandatory COVID-19 informed consent must be signed by all patients.

What to expect when arriving to your appointment:

  • You will disinfect your hands using hand sanitizer.

  • Your temperature will be taken with infrared no-contact thermometer.

  • You will be given a surgical mask and gloves to wear throughout your dental visit. (You can use your own mask or face covering). The receptionist will make sure the face mask is being worn properly.

  • The receptionist will run through the COVID-19 health questionnaire with you to be sure that nothing provided 24 hours ago has changed. We will ask you the same screening questions relating to possible COVID-19 exposure, symptoms and sign the appropriate COVID-19 questionnaire form and waiver.

  • Patients presenting with any symptoms, no matter how mild, including a temperature above 100.4° F will be dismissed and asked to consult their medical or emergency provider. Once you have been cleared by your doctor then you can reschedule your dental appointment. A certificate being COVID-19 free will be required by your doctor before your next appointment. We can only see you on an emergency situation.

  • You will go to your treatment room with your belongings.

  • Once in the treatment room, you will be asked to gargle for one minute with an antiviral rinse before the Doctor or Hygienist sees you. Then mask again.

  • You will NOT be allowed to have anyone else accompany you to your scheduled appointment or treatment room.

  • There will be a minimal $15 Health Safety fee for every patient for every visit to cover part of these necessary measures. Orthodontic patients are excluded from this fee.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this unprecedented time. We assure you we are going above and beyond to ensure everyone’s safety. We look forward to seeing each and every one of you in the very near future.

Please contact us to schedule your next appointment. We are anticipating re-opening the office first week of July when all of the safety measures will be in place.

Stay Safe and Healthy, Dr. Danos and Staff
